Milton O. Mayer

	Milton O. Mayer, age 75, of rural Pinckneyville, IL, died Thursday, March 9, 2000 at 11:07 a.m. in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	Milton was born in Pinckneyville on April 18, 1924, the son of William J. and Hildegard (Caupert) Mayer. He was a farmer, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Conant, IL where he served as janitor and secretary, was past director of Perry County Farm Bureau and secretary/treasurer of the local branch of A. A. L.
	Survivors include two brothers: Maurice Mayer, and his wife, Catherine, of Steeleville, IL and Vernon Mayer, and his wife, Helen, of Cutler, IL; one sister: Beulah Weaver, and her husband, Albert, of Steeleville; one uncle: Herman Mayer of Steeleville; two aunts: Mildred Caupert of Pinckneyville and Cordia Caupert of Cutler, along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
	Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 12, 2000 at 1 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Conant, IL with Pastor Russel Helbig officiating. Interment was in the Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville.
	Friends were able to call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Saturday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., then at the church from 12:00 noon until services.
	In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to the Lutheran Hour, the American Cancer Society or donors choice.
